    Building mass and smoking.

Does anybody have any insight on the effects of smoking cigarettes and building muscle mass?

    here is an excerpt :

    3. The body’s ability to build and repair muscle tissue will be severely affected – A study made by American Journal Physiological Endocrinology Metabolism concludes, that smoking disrupts the process of muscle building and repair, thus making it harder for you to attain maximum training gains from your workout.

    you're right.

If only it was the end of the thread...it will go on, and on and on.

No good will come from smoking.

Besides, how much do they cost now?

I would hope that most of our members want to be healthy and look healthy, not just look healthy.

God I wish I could stop sucking ash. I quit for almost eight years and then my company started with layoffs last summer and I have been back on them ever since.

I do notice that it is harder for me to build muscle since I have been smoking again, maybe it's me, maybe it's the cancer sticks.

ya bro i think the question is a good question as far as you motives for asking it but as a over all it is just stupid to smoke, it smells bad, if dsm were to convert you ( and who knows i hear he is good) he would tell you you taste bad, the above article shows that smoking does hurt your ability to put on muscle. so just quite... i know it is addictive - but their lots of ways to stop - go find one and break the cycle... and for any one who will say well aas is bad for you to !!! you hipocrite!! i will say to you pfftttt, you dont know what you are talking about... it is not like the media says, if it were so many people would not find it soooo beneficial.

so good luck - and quite

I do not undestand why cigarettes are still legal and steroids are not!!!!

Please stop smoking because it will limit your gains and eventually hurt your health..

very good point. something that could hurt you if used incorrectly is illegal, something that will definitely hurt you when used as directed is legal. makes no sense.

Welcome to the United States of America, please leave your common sense at the door and feel free to kill yourself and others with cigarettes that WE will profit off of, but DO NOT improve your health with the sensible use of steroids

and they wonder why this country is in the condition it is in
