So I am pretty new to working out, I used to play sports when I was younger but stopped in the middle of high school due to my grades.. I am sick of my shrimpyness, and not being able to fit snug in my T shirts.. My goal is to get to gain around 50-60 pounds (Maybe too much?) of muscle mass, and then shred it to around 200-210 pounds... I am 180 now, my body is a mix of muslce and fat, u cant see the muscle though, its burried under :O.... I believe I am around 24% BF, if not than more. My lower body is bigger than my upper body :S, so I dont want to work legs too much.. Here is what my workout routine looks like right now, been doing this for around a month now... after reading a few posts here, I am pretty convinced my routine is garbage..
Day 1:
Warmup: Running up and down 14 stairs 20 times
biceps: Db curl 3x8
Chest: db Flys 3x8
db chest press 3x8
Abs: Crunches 3x50
supported crunch 3x50
Day 2:
Upper back: Db row 3x7
db pull over 3x6
Triceps: overhead dbextensions 3x9
Chair dips 3x10
Legs: Squats with weights 3x8
Lunges 3x8
And I usually do as many push ups as I can every morning and before I go to bed...
I workout at home right now... I have a bench, and a set of dumbbells that go up to 50pounds. I havent been able to go to the gym yet because of work, school, and babysitting my nephew all the time, but I plan to soon... but I would like to know some good home workouts.
I am also taking allmax quickmass twice a day, around 650 cals per shake..
Yeah I need some major help :|
I never had any proper guidance.. Just the usual "eat lots", "life heavy"...
