    Does your weight bother you?

    Hello,

Start weight 257....went down to 244 checked weight today 248.

I am eating clean. Palumbo Keto diet...my whole life i have been doing 15-20 reps..been on Keto diet for almost 4 weeks.

Started doing 8-12 sets a week ago....i feel great look great but the scale is going up again..and its kind of depressing..i have been training for 15 years but never was able to get hard muscles..always soft looking.

Now i am lifting heavy, doing one hour cardio, eating clean...my main goal is to be built and have low BF.

Am i taking the right route?Should i stick to high reps, light weight, clean diet and cardio...

Thanks in advance...the only thing that gets me depressed is when i see the weight go up even though in the back of my head i know its good weight...is all weight the same to some of you?

    well first things first.
your saying yourself you look great but the scale reads otherwise.
Could it be possible you might be gaining more muscle so the scale shows more weight?
and second i say if you are looking great, feel great and your strength is increasing pretty much everything is positive who cares what the scale says i say.

and sometimes weight does vary to water in your system and so on.

So really this type of gain shouldnt really bother you at all, cause from what you say it all sounds positive to me.
So really its all psychological .

Yes i feel great and look great...but at 5"11 pushing close 250 pounds is much.

I think its more psychological...i need to forget about the scale and be more concerned with how i feel, look and body fat.

    Thanks i appreciate your input.

No, it's not much. If you wanna pay attention to a number, use body fat...not weight. 250 lbs is not too much, as long as it's a good 250 lbs.

Like these guys said, if you look and feel great, who cares about the weight. Weight changes fast(water loss/gain) so you really shouldn't weigh yourself that often. Go by the mirror, pants size, etc.

    Good Luck

body fat and strength are your best indicators.. and the mirror.. screw the scale man you could be a lean machine at 260 or a rolley polley 260

That's the ticket. And even when one gains fat, they're strength still goes up normally. Strength is a bad indicatior. Unless you're powerlifting, I don't see a reason to worry about getting stronger.

You're lucky bro. I'm going the other way (bulking) but I've gained about 13lbs and I can't tell at all in the mirror. I'd rather look like I weighed more than actually weigh more ya know? Keep going by that mirror and good luck

That's true. I had a friend comment I looked bigger. I just saw him 2 weeks ago lol. I just have the mental mindset that I'm too skinny. I've always been thin (6'4" 170lbs as a senior in high school), but even though my stats now say otherwise (6'4" 242lbs as a junior in college) I still feel skinny. Sorry for the

It depends how you wanna look. Im 245lbs now and I feel good. I could lose a little due to my Abs being 2 beers short of a sixpack. At 220 I feel light but not as strong. Its mental aspect to it too.
at 190 I may have been in the best shape of my life, Id feel foolish if I was that lite now.

Also What DSM said, Stop weighing urself so often. Once every 3 weeks for me. You may be getting good gains but if that scale tells you otherwise it may deter your progress.
