    I'm not losing any weight....why?

I'm trying to drop 15-20 pounds for the summer. I changed my diet and increased my workouts for the past month. I'm not really into dieting, but I eat very good. I'm taking a ton of protein and eca 3 times a day. I havent dropped a pound. I'm getting bigger instead. What am I doing wrong?

You will one day realize and understand the fact that dieting is one endeavor that cannot be half assed in any way/shape/form. You must plan intelligently and arrive at an extremely well thought out educated plan of attack that addresses your physique goals. Anything less will lead to more of the same frustrating posts and spinning of the wheels until they fall off.

Gather a sterling plan of attack via help from others after you research and propose a plan, hire someone to do the work for you if you have money and don't wish to come up w/your own approach for whatever reason, as a lot of people hire others to make sure they are getting an approach that is going to actually work. You still have to put in all the work in the gym with weights/cardio/etc., but at least the NUTRITIONAL portion will be addressed which is the #1/PRIMARY/FIRST component that should be constructed when one is gathering artillery to embark upon a body composition change for the better.

    Goo'Luck! LOL!!

Thanks for all the replies. I know how important diet is just these past few years its been hard to stick to it. I remember 3-4 years ago if I did what I am doing now I would lose weight quickly. I own a arge construction company that keeps getting bigger so my time and focus on my diet is just hard to stick to. On a typical day I will wake up at 4:30-5:00am and have a coffee and 4-5 egg whites with a fruit. I'll have about 2 more coffees until around 9-10am. Then I will have a shake. At lunch I usually have a salad with tuna or chicken breast and a shake. At around 2-3pm I'll have another shake and between 3-6pm a couple more coffees. I know I have alot of coffees. I have a nice espresso maker at my shop! At around 7pm, I;ll have a shake, work out for about an hour with weights then I;ll have dinner. Usually fish or chicken with veggies. I try to do 30 minutes cardio every morning when I have some time. I'm taking eca 3 times a day. Like I said, I've been trying to stick to a routine but sometimes its hard. I know I'm killing the coffees. Do I need todo more cardio and less weight training maybe? Again, the past 3-4 years I havent been as hardcore because of work but damn....I don't remember it being this hard to drop some weight!

Anymore comments would be greatly appreciated!!!

First off ur diet isn't good. You should be eating good food every two/ two in a half hrs. 7 meals a day does it for me. As for these coffee's, are u using any sugar? sugar is the enemy. you dont want any sugar intake. As for cardio, this takes mega balls, but if u really wanna drop weight, do cardio right after u awake on an empty stomach. you will see lbs fall right off. If you cant, do cardio after a workout. Finish freeweights slam a protein drink and hit cardio. Intense workout (weightlifting) will use everything in your stomach for energy, now u take protein and hit cardio and ur body will burn fat since protein is not a good sourse for energy. Cardio for one hr.min. And clean up the diet. Buy a muscle & fittness mag, and just pick one. They are all pretty good.

    reason is simple

you don't burn more calories than you take in during a 24 period
