Hey,
So I am interested in finding out my daily caloric needs, and how many calories my body burns on its own, without exercising or with exercising (of varying intensity).
There are various calculators out there on the internet that give a rough estimate...
But I am wondering - when I enter my weight, should I enter the amount of lean body mass I have, or just my total weight?
For example, I weigh about 240lbs and I am around 28% body fat (yes I know I am over weight). So that means I have around 175lbs of lean body mass.
Should I use 240lbs as my body weight? Or should I use 175lbs?
I ask because I wonder if I should see how many calories I would need to maintain 175lbs of lean body tissue.
But to figure out how many calories I need, burn, and how few calories I would need to lose weight, should I use 240lbs?
Just wondering.
Thanks for all your help guys! This forum is really helping me lose weight and get back in shape (even though I dont use and dont plan to use steroids)
