I'm starting my cycle of 8 weeks Anavar (4-6 of them with Clen)...followed by 4 weeks PCT.
Question:
If I got liquored up one night...could I drop dead???
I DON'T plan on drinking regularly (extra calories, etc...not needed)...but I DO have a bachelor party/wedding for my buddy coming up around the 3rd week (which will be 80mg Var/ed + 100mcg Clen/ed)...and I think getting blitzed that night is going to be unavoidable (best friend for 20 years..). So should I be concerned?

In any case...(besides those that just want to jump down my throat for drinking ONCE during a 12 week cycle)....it'd be nice to get some actual advice...

If the guy is really your best friend for 20 years, you can tell him and he won't make you drink. Otherwise, just grow a pair and either do your swimming season natural, or make the decision to not drink.

var is an oral, while a relatively benign one on the scale of liver damage it does have to pass through. so your liver is compromised to begin with then you mentioned "getting blitzed" so one is to assume you will consuming large quantities of alcohol which will further inhibit your livers ability to do its job and can cause prolonged if not permanent damage.
While im not gonna go research it to provide you with medical references. they are out there so if scientific proof is what you require go look for it.
seems pretty elementary actually. if you dont like it, do what you want. but just because its not the answer you wanted to hear doesnt make it wrong. people who have answered dont think you should. make up you own mind your going to anyway.

Your going to be ok since var isn't to bad on the liver. I would try not to be taking the clen at that time. If u get sides from clen alcohol want help any.

Thanks for those of you who have given what you know about this interaction...
and Moto...i understand the liver pass, etc...but that's the case with any drug that passes through the liver (for example claritan)...so in your theory...people who use claritan shouldn't drink...but it's not that simple...it has to do with what specific liver functions are diminished and/or if there are any specific drug interactions....which I have searched for..and as of yet, cant find any info on...hence my asking what people may know specifically, on here.

Pills whether OTC or perscribed have sides, im sure you have heard the commercials with the list of sides they rattle off at the end, and most of them say "you should not drink alcohol while taking XYZ, if you notice a third ear, purple stools, etc.......... consult your dr. immediately"
If Var was something that was prescribed for commercial profit for its manufacturer you can be sure it would have that warning. however since its not a viable "cash cow" its not advertised. so, will it kill you? probably not. should you drink on it? no. but again the choice is yours.

how about this....just don't take var on the day you are drinking and supplement with a good liver support during your cycle, since anavar doesn't aromatize you won't have to worry as much about stabilizing blood serum levels
i would try not to get completely smashed but a few drinks won't kill you, chase every drink with an equal amount of liquid(preferably v8 or something that has good electrolytes and will help replenish and keep your body hydrated)
also, don't drink heavily sugared drinks as this will cause all types of hell for your body(increased glycogen--->increased insulin--->fat storage--->more strain on your body, etc...)
i understand and if my friend of 20 years was having a bachelor party i would want to be right there with him, personally i would forgo the cycle and make the night all about him since it's a very rare event because i would want to be going shot for shot with him all night
be safe, set a limit that he, you, and a sober third party know about BEFORE HAND and will enforce

For my .02 cents and only IMHO why not make the night about your friend step up and be the one who is DD. Trust me when I say you can have just as much fun sober and you can feel good about bein the one that gets you all home save.

Won't ever touch a beer or any alcohol on cycle. It doesn't matter how mild or light of a cycle it is. Won't happen. That is me. Alcohol is personally a waste of money. And I despise those who feel the need they have to get f*d up when they drink. or bltized as you put it. Time to grow up... Personally.

Thanks...does "skipping" a day have any carry-over though? In other words, am I just losing the benefit of Var for those 24hrs, or will it cost my body a few days of recovery time to be at the same place prior to the skipping?

Lets get sh*t straight f*ck head... I have had my fair share of fun. And at the end of the night... It is never worth it. I have lost friends due to alcohol. Lost friends due to drunk f*cking drivers. Idiots like you who want to get blitzed and drive. So don't tell me I don't know how to "cut loose". I don't need alcohol to go out and have fun and make a fool of myself. I take to much pride in how I look to be shoving that sh*t in my body.
And at the end of the day that is why my outlook is the way it is. You want to drink. And do steroids. You obviously don't respect your body enough. So get the F*CK off the steroids.
Alcohol. Total waste of goddamn money. I have had my fair share of 100 bucks dropped in a night if not more. you'll be losing that day, but since you'll be drinking it won't matter, you could also give your body the next day if you think you need it to recover

Well... after reading this somewhat hostile thread I am going to add some real life experience but no actual medical backing.
I personally do not touch alcohol while on cycle and do not agree with it. It is however your body and your decision and your best friends bachelor party is of course a very special occasion. A very stuborn friend of mine decided to start taking Var based on results I experienced and based on our source hyping them up. This friend of mine is 29 years old 6'4 300lbs probably 23 to 25% bf. I tried to explain to him not to do it because he is not physically or mentally ready. He loves to party and get drunk at least once or twice a week. Of course he did not listen to me. He derived his own personal cycle of taking 60mg of var only on the days he works out about 30 minutes before is workout weird, I know..... He is not taking anything for liver nor is he going to take PCT.... completely irresponsible. So after about 3 weeks of being on it and much partying due to the fact that this was over the christmas break, he started getting pain around his liver. Of course he comes to me and asks WTF? I told him lay off the booze, go see a doctor and get an ultrasound done on your liver. Well he laid off the booze but saw no doctor. The pain went away.... he started drinking again a few weeks later, guess what the pain came back, so he says fk it and just goes off Var because he'd rather drink. Again, no PCT but the pain went away.
Now whether or not it was in direct relation to the var and alcohol... I'll let you draw your own conclusions. In all fairness his liver is probably already damaged from years of alcohol abuse which may have been a factor. You're only doing it for one night so who knows.... only you can decide what to do.
If you are going to do it, I would take your full dose for the day 8-10 hours before you start drinking and again please go easy and match each drink with a glass of water, then start your regular cycle the next day and over hydrate yourself for 2 days.
Again I do not recommend this but its up to you.... Best of luck and stay safe.

I've been in the same situation where I was socializing with friends while on a cycle (albeit a very mild one, but that's not the point). The whole "why aren't you drinking?" gets ****ing old. And since AAS ("gear") is very misunderstood (not to mention ILLEGAL), being completely honest about what you are doing becomes a little tricky around people.
I found the best answer to give is "I'm on antibiotics, so I can't". Shut people right up.

OP, go ahead, it's your cycle, your body. You should be running a liver aid prior to, during, and after the cycle. Have fun but don't go overboard, try to keep the buzz going and not shit faced, and drink plenty of fluids during and make the best food choices you can even though there will most likely be the worst around.
Keep it to that one night in a good cycle, have fun, let your body rest well and you'll be fine.
