    Am - pm cardio/workout

Ok I'm on the mission to be shredded. I workout early morning after meal 1 then do 40 min cardio and go to work.

Now idealy I'd do emtpy stomach cardio but I don't have time 4/7 days. The other 3 I do 1st thing in morning. What I'm asking is how much difference will it make? Cheers

For me it makes a huge difference, to the point that I completely eliminated any other cardio, and if it is not in the am on empty I don't do it. I saw my gains stall when I was throwing in cardio PWO. You can also do twice as much if you do it in the morning and not PWO.

I have a similar schedule to you, I can get in about 3-4 days(minimum) guaranteed of am cardio. On those days I do 75 min and if I ever get any off days same thing.

Yeah it is a bitch but it works, take about 8-10 grams of BCAA's too to help with muscle retention while you are doing it or before...they work too.

Like all other things in bodybuilding, it depends on you. While it makes a huge difference for bigslick, it makes no difference for me. You could be at either end of the spectrum or anywhere in between

I agree that although cardio any time of the day is great for cutting. However doing your cardio after your workout is taking away from your muscular gains as your cardio is competing with your depleted PWO muscles for the fuel. I would find a way to get around this, if no other options are available then as Bigslick posted, extend your cardio..even goint to one hour 3 times a week would be good, keeping in mind that many feel the first 20 minutes of cardio cause minimal gains by going to an hour you would be almost doubling your cardios fat burning anyway.

Why not wake up do your cardio first and have your first meal ready to go in the car so you can have it on the way to work. I have a small carton of egg whites and a protien shake with half a cup of oatmeal mixed in it. I can chug the egg whites first then drink the shake and oatmeal as I drive through town to get to my job. When I am seriously training my philosophy is "food is fuel" and nothing morehen I take my week off every month this is when I take the time to enjoy what I eat. Not great but sometimes we have to deal with it to fit in all of our meals.
