You Should be allright with that mate, I have seen programs which say you workout chest on monday as a chest day, then on thursday you would do just one excercise for chest such as strength reps 5x5 (for incline dumbell press)

I have done the above program but didnt do it properly as you can see that it rotates with all the excercises. Ideally its not a good idea as a long term.
Thats just my take on it, i am sure some pros should come in and give you some better input
