    Cardio\Hiit question

First time poster, long time reader of this forum so I just want to start off by saying: Hi all

    Now for my question.
I dont know if this is the right forum for this kind of question since people are talking and discussing mostly about weights and less about cardio (just that it should be done).
Ill give it a shot anyway snice I get a feeling that people here on the forum (atleast some of you) really makes an effort in your answers and wants to give as good of a service\advice as possible.

    SOOO my question is:

Im working out for a cardio test that involves running around a square that is 15m X 7M for 6minutes.
On one of the longsides you must lay down on your stomach and the other on your back with your shoulers at the ground.
To achive the best possible score you must do each round in about 16sec so its pretty intense.
Since I always aim for the top and honestly belive I can achive anything I want with just enough time and effort im trying to research into what the best possbile training for this is.

I know some of you will say: "If you want to be good in "X", then do "X" and you will progress."
I agree on this but it will become v. boring to do this everytime.

Would HIIT be a good thing?

In advance, thank you for all your opinions!

    Welcome to the forums!

Will you be running at the same speed throughout the run?

Yeah I will but its kinda start\stop each 14m since youre suppose to lay down.

If it's a start/stop type run your best bet will be Fartlek training (Interval training)

Something like this, varied pace training

Seeing as you are only resting every 14 minutes, HIIT training will work well as you are improving your Cardio Respiratory Endurance, which is exactly what you need for this type of test
