    bulking legs....deads and squats

I want to really pack on the pounds on my legs . I have been splitting legs into 3days . ( day 4&5 is back bis , shoulder tris) In no specific daily order .

day 1 - chest with calves
    day2 - quads...6-8 sets of squats , leg extensions
day 3 - straight leg deads 6-8 sets, leg curls

I'm wondering , do squats and bent knee deads work the same muscles? Should I be doing bent knee deads instead of straight leg? I dont want to over train , but I guess I'm not sure about what muscles Im actually working . Im thinking the extensions and curls are minor compared to the main squats and deads . I see some huge dudes doing deads alot , but dont see them squating .

id say eat more! and id do 5x5 front squat and 5x5 deadlift once a week! do it on mon and thurs to give you a break! if you do a 5x5 and you can do a 6th rep then your not doing it right! example... my max deadlift is 485lbs and i do a few 135lb warm ups then go 400x5,400x5,425x5,425x5,and 400x5! thats my opinion but my legs are big and thats how they got there! there is such thing as over training so 25 reps at around 85% your max is pretty hardcore

Deads also work the upper back. You should do both. Should I be doing bent knee deads instead of straight leg? You should do bothI dont want to over train , but I guess I'm not sure about what muscles Im actually working . Im thinking the extensions and curls are minor compared to the main squats and deads. Extensions and curls work your Quads and Hams through a much more complete range of motion than squats and deads, but squats and deads work other muscles that extensions and curls don't. You need to do all of it for best results.I see some huge dudes doing deads alot , but dont see them squating. They must be powerlifters, not bodybuilders.
Example Leg and Lower Back Day:
    Squats 3x10
    Lunges 3x10
    Leg Extensions 3x10
    Leg Curls 3x10
    Calf Raises 3x15
    Straight Leg Deadlifts 3x10
    Goodmornings 3x10

Do regular deadlifts on back day.

dude, id never do that many reps in hopes you get big! 10 reps is to many and a total of 200 reps or more isnt not what u want! think about it like this what im saying is like a sprint and 200 or more reps is like a 5k....look at what a sprinter looks like....IMHO, but what im saying has been proven best for size!

Just doing squats and deadlifts is not enough for full leg development. They don't work your quads through a full range of motion and they work your hams even less. Would you do bench presses and rows and say that is enough to develop the arms? I don't think so. Most likely you do some kind of biceps curls and triceps extensions, and maybe, forearm exercises. The legs are no different. What about your calves? Also, the 200 rep thing is so over exaggerated. You wouldn't be doing 200 reps of the same exercise. Different exercises target different muscles.
