    Running vs. Swiming

Sorry, maybe this is wrong section. But I was looking for opinions about cardio. I really enjoy swiming (lane swim) and I really dont enjoy running.... What would be the best cardio exercise to shed some lbs.

Others will be able to give you more informed answers, but my opinion is to do something you like...or at least can live with. As long as you are keeping your heart rate in the designed zone, it doesn't matter what the activity is. I know most people hate cardio, and you are less likely to do an exercise that you hate...like running.

Swimming is going to be better and not so bad for your joints! Also swimming in colder water is suppose to trigger your brown fat! i took 45mi ice baths 3 days a week for two weeks and lost 5lbs. Swimming is hands down the best cardio besides a jump rope

Welcome! They are both great to do and like suggested do the one you enjoy. Are you a real fast swimmer?

Swimming is better but only if you do it WITHOUT stopping...it won't really work if you grab onto the edge of the pool and hang out for a few minutes every so often.

^^^ plus fast fast fast. I swim a lot and am quite steady as I do not stop the entire time but doubt I am cardio quite frankly.

Running and swimming are both very beneficial for the fitness of the body and also best for the burn body fats,.Swimming is awesome exercise to lose weight as well as cleaning your body and gets abs as well,...Running is another excersize for physical, mental and emotional health.
