can someone explain to me if there's any difference if I'm doin two big muscle groups on the same workout or splitting them into two workouts?

and if I have the following scenario, in which I have only 3 days a week to do a workout and I want my workout to be intensive but I don't want to do
a full body workout.
The questions are, is it right? is practical to split the workout this way?

If you can answer with some physiological evidence it'll be great
