    How many reps and sets??

    Hello everybody!
    Here's some info on myself:
    5'9, 167 lbs. 25yrs old. 10%bf
I lift everyday and I wanna get the most of my lifting. I wanna grow muscle. I'm also on Testosterone Repla***ent Therapy 200mgs of cypionate a week. Blood work looks amazing, been on it for 6 months now and went from 145lbs to 167lbs and seems like I hit this weight that won't go up the last two months....
I wanna know how many reps and sets are best for me, I wanna gain muscle.
If any info is need more than what I put, let me know.

    Thanks

More weight less reps. But I would be willing to bet that a change in diet would be more help. You say you lift everyday which could be a problem too. Post your weekly exercise routine and diet. The more info you give the more people will be able to help.

there is no specific weight or reps and sets, we are all different so you will have to figure out whats best for you.

    but there are guidelines:
if you want size, typically you would do higher reps and sets with less weight
if you want strength you typically would do less reps and sets with more weight

also for size you want to workout harder but less often 3-4x/week
if you want strength you want to workout more often with less intensity 5-6x/week

either way you cannot workout everyday, this will impede your growth

Try switching your diet and weight range up, don't stick to "2-4 rep range" - If you feel you can get 8-10 out of the weights you have in your hand do it, weight lifting is a mental sport as well as a physical one, if you go up weight your brain will naturally assume you will get less reps out due to the weight increase (that's what you'll think), but if you push yourself and overcome the mental barrier and pain barrier you will get more reps out and that's where you'll grow.

Try looking at different professionals routines and diets, IF is apparently a very good diet, google it (it may be on this site somewhere in the diet section) and have a look what you think. Good luck dude.

I'd suggest two days rest a week. Muscle tissue does not grow unless at rest. Your central nervous system needs a break too, so lifting every day is not advisable.

IMO yes. You need time off from all for some good solid rest and recovery.

Be your own guinea pig. Nobody can tell you how your body grows. I grow best at 6-8 rep range ... Through years of being my own lab rat iv figured this out. My back especially grows bigger at a low rep heavy weight Same with chest. 10-12 just doesn't do anything for me

^ I'm talking about larger muscles of course. For assistance exercises sometimes I'll go 10-12.

I go 10-12 on all my exercises. I do 4 sets on each exercise ad my last set I'll do 8.
