Ways to stay motivated to do Cardio??

    Hey guys

Anyone else out there that cant stay motivated to do consistent cardio? Im one of those guys that loves weights, but hates cardio. I try and do it, coz I need to do it, I have fat around my gut. Ill do it for a month or two, then stop, and it shows after another month that Ive stopped.... Ggrrrrr!

Thinking of trying do go for a 20-30 min jog early morning before work, but i just need to stay damn motivated!

Any tips for motivation? The best motivation for me is seeing results, but the results come slow with cardio

The only cardio Im consistant with is playing indoor soccer and thats pretty hard cardio for an hour, I do that once a week, but I need to do a bit more at least another 2 or 3 times of 20-30 mins

Find a bike in direct view of a chick with a great arse, but not directly behind her as that's too obvious she will know what you're upto and you will just look like a dirty perv,
find somewhere a little bit off direct line of sight but not so much that it's obvious you're having to turn your head to look. 2 bikes back and 1 to the left. With that kind of view I could do cardio all day, or at least till she fks off..

Trance, dubstep, hiphop/rap and metal all depends on my mood, alot of dubstep and trance lately.

Good point music is key to my gym workouts

Usually some kind of techno, dance, dub step podcast and the fact that I only live in a city full fit and hot single ladies everywhere that run around town lake after 5pm. When I spot a hot girl ahead I sprint to her, and pace in front of her then gradually slow down to chase the ass to the finish line. Austin, Texas is the best city for motivation in my opinion.

The best way to get motivated for cardio is ask your girlfriend to give you a blowjob ONLY if you go for a run etc and lose some fat. You'll probably need a signed contract though in fairness.

I do mine PWO. Only way I can keep it up is to use the elliptical at the gym, parked right in front of a TV (I'm a news junkie). I put earphones in so I can tune out my breathing, and it seems to go by a little better.
I'm going to add 30 minutes of fasted cardio by going out on a run first thing in the A.M. - NOT looking forward to that, an hour of cardio each day = BORING!!

Old school Metallica.....Master of Puppets, Ride The Lightning, Kill EM All
+ caffeine pill = best Cardio sessions ever! 7-8 songs in and your done.

Without shuffle I don't know what the old timers did back in the day.

Three times a week I do just under 20 miles on my road bike. Its a nice ride through the country and never gets boring. Plenty of hills so it kicks my ass!

I do intervals for 20 mins three times a week. I will take that over any normal boring long drawn out cardio session any day.

20 min interval training is great agreed. Better than the 45 min low intensity. Keeping the weight off my midsection is good motivation for me, and the fact that I just feel so much more awake and alive on the days I do AM cardio. Wouldnt get far without the music though!

Once you lean up if you modify your macros/caloric intake you wouldn't have to mess with it anymore.
But your original question - I've always found doing cardio outside made it much more stimulating than on some piece of machinery.

Music is awesome, so is ripping your favorite tv show/movie to an iphone or similar device. I prefer doing intervals, makes for a harder workout in less time. Look into doing some tabata stuff. Kicks the crap out of you in only 4 minutes!
