Been injured for nearly 3 years. Going to try a cycle and see if i can put on size

Hey muscle lovers. I have been bodybuilding since i was 12 years old in my friends garage. Soon as i finished school at 16 i got my self a real gym membership, As i have a small compact frame i always found it easy to put on muscle. 3 Years ago while squatting i blew out my c5/c6. I lost the whole of my left side of my upper body for about 6 months. All my muscle deteriorated. Finally it started to come back a little. As time went on i found it increasingly painful to train. Last year while at work i over did it and ended up in the emergency room with severe muscle spasms in my neck, the pain was like nothing i have ever felt before. I cannot even lift more than 25lbs now without feeling pain. Somehow i have managed to keep some good size, probably from all those years of lifting. Here is my question. I have some 20mg anavar and a 10ml bottle of test c. I was thinking about running a cycle of 1ml a week of test c and running 40mg of anavar with it. I was hoping that with the help of the anabolics that i can gain a few pounds. 5 lbs would be prefect! I know that i cannot gain muscle normally with the help of gear with the condition of my neck. Please give me your thoughts on this. I am addicted to training and am getting depressed that i cannot gain muscle like i used too. Max weight 215lbs 5ft 6. Looked stacked.

    Now i am 180lbs

your weight is pretty good for your height. Why do you need to be 200lbs? You wouldnt look proportional at your height. Why not just train to stay in good shape? If your "addicted" to muscle maybe that is something you need to address. Being addicted to anything is not good. And if you are injured no one is going to advise AAS use.

BTW you posted in New Female Members. lol.

Ops new to this. I dont want to be 200lbs again. I just want another 5lbs of hard muscle. Its not that i am addicted its just that its my "lifestyle".

If it's your lifestyle then no problem putting on 5lbs. of muscle. Especially if you have been out of the gym for a bit. It will come back easy. If you do AAS you could risk another injury. Just keep a healhty lifestyle.

    Welcome to the board mate!

As i was reading your post, in the back of my mind, I was thinking that if you were to take something, it preferably would be var. But...

...imho, i'm thinking you've done some permenant damage, and instead of jumping right back into the weights, you do a retthink. Your body is talking to you, and it seems you are not listening. Instead of the heavy weights, you might be better off with some mild resistance training and cardio, along with diet. If you can do this for a year or two without additional injury or relapse into pain, then you might slowly be able to increase some weight. But it seems to me that the days of heavy lifting that involves your spine are over.

One of the problems with these types of injuries at a relatively young age, is that there will probably be deferred issues/pain you will have to deal with as you get older. Continuing to lift heavy after all you've been through will probably only exaserbate these issues for you later on.

Maybe with running, light resistance training and anavar i can look nicely in shape? Dont need to look like a huge bodybuilder, my days are gone like you said, i have come to terms with that, but i do want some nice muscle still, super lean is my new style

it's prescribed to aids patients to prevent muscle wasting.
additionally, it's very mild with low sides.

but if you are ambulatory, I'm thinkking might be better to avoid. better off to just maintain with minor resistance and cardio and just let things heal for a year or two...

I was thinking a low impact type cardio. I'm a former distance runner with a neck injury as well. the impact from running will still have an effect on your spine/neck, or at least it does mine. if you feel the need to run, best to run at the park and on the lawn, where some of the impact will be absorbed. just watch for friggin gopher holes. I fell in one, twice in the same day, a few years ago, and was real lucky i didn't break my ankle.

Why do you feel the need to question his goals? Who isn't somewhat addicted to training. Doesnt that motivation make you walk into the gym everyday?

I am not Brohim (and apologize to him for jumping on his post) however out of concern for the OP I will address this question.

Because a C5/C6 injury is something that can cause lifelong debiliatating injury and if you are compulsive and wieght training and not adhearing to input from both an orthopaedist as well as a pro coach who has specific knowlege of the risks involved you really are taking a huge risk. Bad enough to have loss of nerve signal in the lower back but in the neck it can really be a lifechanger.

I understand the complications C spine injuries can provoke, however, Do you know what it's like to experience a debilitating injury? Being told you will never do certain things again. I was just frustrated with brohims post. Didn't seem very empathic.

Ya its the worst injury one can have if you are a gym lover

  16. #16
You can absolutely still be a gym lover. When I was 17 I feel 30ft breaking my back, and fracturing my right foot into more than 40 pieces. I was paralyzed for several days. They told my I would never squat like I used to, nor would I ever become a firefighter. I've done both. I actually squat more now than before. Listen to your body if it's painful be careful. But don't let anyone tell you your unable to do something.

I do not know about in the USA but I have has two severe herniated discs and one fracture from the gym. 3 times I have had an injection given to me by a very old back specialist. Each time I have been back training inside a week. I will never allow surgery on my spine. But the injection of cortisone and steroids works magic. You can get it done here in Thailand.
I know the pain and trust me, I have been taken in to see my doctor in an ambulance unable to walk, after been told by 2 other specialists they could do nothing. I have walked out of his surgery 20 minutes later. I am 57 last had it done 9 years ago. Try asking. Regards, John
