    upper pec exercises??

Looking to get some better definition of my upper pecs, you know right at the collar bone...
Anything besides the obvious incline exercises I should try?

    How big is your chest?

Reson I ask is because trying to isolate a part of the chest is pretty pointless untill you get to a point where ur chest is big and still lacking in certain areas...

My advise would be to build a bigger chest with a second priority of incline work and try to develop the whole chest....

My chest I will say is decent. In fact it's fairly well developed for my build, i get compliments on it alot. So i think it's fair enough for me to say I'm ready to start isolating. Just looking to attain that ridge across the collar i see on some more advanced guys...

Just keep working the inclines then.....

When u do dumbbell incline press, twist ur hands so at the top your palms are facing each other.... Now squeeze the bottom of the dumbells together (the end closest to your feet)...

This will activate the upper chest to a greater degree

Ok will do, thanks. I've heard to roll the dumbbells outwards in your palms and squeeze when palms are facing each other at top...

Do you know if this is helpful or what it is activating? Middle chest?

That's what I'm referring to.... If u focus of squeezing the bottom of the dumbells together tho u will feel it more in ur upper chest...

Try it now with ur hands

Knowing what exercises, sets, and rep range you usually perform on chest day would be most helpful.

Another variation I just picked up from a guy at the gym is using the dumbells like these,

where the head is octagonal ( its going to be hard without this type) while on an incline bench you place both sets of flats on each dumbell together with the palms and fingers facing each other and then do a press motion while holding the dumbells together, this hits the center of the pecs and provides definition/separation at the inner edge or the chest plates.

Haha, me and my buddy call these "champagnes." Don't know where the name originated tho.

No wonder you don't hear much about them on the web, it's because no one can spell shampain.

Adjusted my technique, as you recommended, a couple nights ago and hit it hard. Also did a few sets of champagnes to burn out after. Even the very center of my chest is tender to the touch

Here is another technique I'm playing with...

Keeping hands so that palms are in the whole time do incline bench press...

From the bottom position press the weight straight up so that at the top you are having to hold the tension on the chest since the dumbells will be about 18-24 inches apart... Then at the top pull the dumbells together and squeeze them... Then back out to where u came from and then back down....

It's a good chest movement that's for sure...

Movements goes ... Up, in, out, down, repeat
