    Heart Rate Monitor Saved Me!!

I have spent years and years battling my weight. I have dropped serious weight to just put it right back on within a years time. I am no where near obese, just slightly overweight. I have trouble with eating the right food and tend to go on long binges. The other biggest problem I had, was maintaining a cardio schedule. Like many of you on here, I hate cardio and had a tough time doing it. I would get exhausted and never maintain a consistent schedule. This would cause me to relapse and lose all the momentum I had going into my fat loss goal. Until I decided to get a good heart rate monitor!!

This thing has saved me and has shown me exactly why I could never follow through with my cardio. I purchased the chest strap with the watch. I was operating at or near my maximum heart rate and was just completely exhausting myself. I then calculated my fat loss zone and have been doing the eliptical an hour a day within that zone for the past 2 weeks. Not only has the weight just melted off, but I ENJOY CARDIO NOW! I wake up everyday wanting to go to the gym and seeing the results just motivates me even more.

Cardio has no longer become a chore, but a daily thing for me now. I encourage anyone out there who does not have one, to go out and grab a heart rate monitor. I spent years turning a blind eye to them.

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to post my experience and maybe help some others out there who struggle the way I do with their weight and cardio.

You may find as you get into better shape that you'll want to pick up the pace. I know when I started cardio was hard indeed! Now I try to push myself harder each week and do better than the week before. On the other hand I need to slow it back down because I think it is cutting into my lbm more than I wanted it too. I just can't make up my mind if I want to cut or bulk... lol. I do wear mine from time to time just to see if my heart is becoming more efficient. And the anwer is YES!
