    Bursitis and Deca?

So recently several threads have popped up regarding injuries and AAS, but I have not seen one dealing with bursitis. About two years ago I was getting some serious pain while training Jiu Jitsu and just doing basic compound lifts. I went to the doc and was diagnosed with sub-acromial bursitis in both shoulders. He basically said surgery will just limit my range of motion and that corticosteroids are the only treatment for the inflammation.
I have heard good things about Deca and joints, would that be a useful AAS for my condition? Are there any others that would help? I have learned to deal with it, but its really painful and forces me to take more deloading days than I prefer.

It's swelling, not any MAJOR tears to ligament, tendon or muscle...You're probably just over doing yourself or just doing something wrong....

And my honest opinion, unless you ACTUALLY compete in the sport of Jiu Jitsu don't even do it...It's just a bunch of idiots that think it is cool because of the MMA rush etc...

Someone forcing your arm behind your back is NEVER good...What do you expect? My advise, stop doing Jiu Jitsu unless you're going to compete...

I wouldn't say they're a bunch of idiots. The world does not revolve around Calstate23 and what he approves of.

Jiu Jitsu has been around 100's and 100's of years prior to MMA. People have preferences. Many people join such activities simply to improve their self esteem. Or as a hobby, or for a form of cardio, etc...

    Lol...

But honestly, going off of statistics (This could be different in other countries) I have NEVER met someone that actually competes...Mostly they just like to talk about how they go to Jiu Jitsu class 3 times a week...

Mostly, I just hear them talk about injuries..Then I say why do you go?

There was NO ONE doing Jiu Jitsu (At least in my area) 5 years ago...No one...MAJORITY (Not all) are just posers wanting to think their tough..Lol...But no joke

As Jim Rome would say..."I'm pullin that card"...Majority just love to pull "that card"..Which is, "I do Jiu Jitsu"..

Please watch your mouth and how you try and force your opinions, calling them a bunch of idiots isn't a wise or thoughtful think to do. Its like me saying to your a drug addict and have totally changed your personality within the last 12 months you need to stop because your an idiot and come across as a completely different person.

    See what I mean!!

My thoughts exactly...before referring to my lifetime commitment to martial arts in such an ignorant way, lets try to read the post; with complete comprehension. Rant over!
I have a medical condition it's called sub-acromial bursitis; means that I am prone to severe inflammation around the bursa or shoulder capsule at the joint, due to years of martial arts training and riding BMX. I am not currently on cycle, but I work out regularly and am going to be starting a test e 12 wk cycle in a week.
Any info on how Deca or other AAS might improve or reduce that inflammation would be great. Any personal experiences would be great, but I'll take some second hand or theoretical info too. Thx in advance.

I do it because I love it and have a big ass mouth and always get into fights because of it. So I figured, I might as well win them. Also, I got a thing for standing up for the weak and have gotten the shit kicked out of me several times for doing so...

Not talking about OP....What I was trying to convey was that there is a ton of unexperienced guys that go to these places...You have a lot of guys that go to these classes that only have a handful of lessons behind their back...

They use bad technique and go in there like Rambo...Which is a reason to a lot of these injuries...

I can't speak to the Decca, as I've yet to use it, however, I'm presently treating my shoulder impingement with thymosin beta 4, aka TB-500. Might want to look into that, for it's combination of anti inflammatory, and increased healing, properties.

I'm running NPP and T500 for joint recovery.

the shoulder joint and the sub-acromial area is a very tight and confined space. there is not much room for expansion and any swelling and abnormal shoulder posture can cause further impingement of the tendon, or bursa in your case. so if you're hoping deca can increase your joint fluid and help with the pain, it may backfire.

Excellent point AD. I've seen a few people make shoulder issues worse with deca. Nothing worse than a bad shoulder. It limits so many movements.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, the damn things are constantly inflamed. Some nights I can't even sleep because no matter what position I lay in, the pressure just pinches everything up. Part of the cause of my bursa inflammation is due to a genetic disorder called Buford's Complex (shoulder capsule looks like a C instead of an O, and I have a ligament running forward my scapula). Not sure if the Decca fluid would be good or bad in that case?
What's this TB500? I've never heard of it. Is it a corticosteroid and legal?

Legal, for research purposes, yes. Not cortisone. Injections are not site specific, just sub q. Used extensively in horse and greyhound racing. Recently into human trials. Lots of us are are opting to make ourselves into human guinney pigs, with our own research....
