Device to hold feet down while squatting

I could have sworn I saw a video on facebook or wherever that had a dude squatting at the barbell rack with a device that seemed to hold his feet planted to the ground. I have a problem with my knees going forward so this would be perfect. I just can't seem to find it online or know what this is even called. Has anyone heard of this before?

Never seen one of those but why don't you concentrate on pushing through your heels instead of your toes, you will have far more power and you will have the weight under control more. Or you could put the v shape piece of wood under your heels to fill the gap.

They had one of these in my old gym. Never saw anybody squatting with a bar using it though, just holding plates or dumbells. It really does make to sit back.

to me that seems a little dangerous, especially if failing or lose of balance etc...

With a bar maybe, but if you squat in a rack then not so much. Just holding plates I enjoyed it, a real quad burner.

I believe it's a Roman Chair Squat Device. So not for real squatting like you would do. More like squatting I would do

Actually it was in the gym I trained at that was owned by champion power lifters but as I said, never saw anyone squatting using it with a bar.
