I am currently in the US and visited a doc as I had run out of test. Having to stay here an extra month. Sent me for blood tests with 'Quest' and gave me a script for Test C. Any comments guys.


Here is is exact again and ranges, direct form lab verbal supervisor.

Your estradiol is 42, which is fine, and probable up only a little
because of your testosterone. Range: less or = 39

Your hematocrit is 47.6 which is perfect Range: 38.5-50.0

Your psa is fine, 2.2 Range: less than 4.0

Your free testosterone is elevated a bit too much, at 508, Range is 46.0-224.0 I want
to see 160 to 200 for that. I want you to skip for Monday,
and Thursday make sure you use only 0.25cc total for each injection after
that. Repeat your level once you get back home with your MD.

I speak for myself here: I wouldn't be satisfied at all with estradiol at 42. And I think you didn't read Quest's range correctly. It's <=29. So you are rather high. I would want a range closer to 20. Do you take hCG? Do you take an AI? Need more information to advise further.

Although your hematocrit is within range, it won't stay that way. I'd consider donating blood once every two months or so, just to be on the safe side.

And if you're feeling good, I wouldn't worry at all about your Free T - IMO.

You didn't post your protocol so we can only go on what you include here and can't advise about whether or not to skip shots.

Yes I feel pretty good, and the ranges were given by the Doc not by me.

Assuming your UK measurements coincide with the US, it seems you are taking 100mg Test twice a week - 200mg/week - which is rather high. Is this correct? From my experience, the most common starting and continuing dose is only 100mg/week. Your higher extradiol number may be the result of your higher Test dose.

Regarding hCG: Your dose doesn't seem logical. The common dose here is 250iu two times a week. Unless your measurements are different, I don't know how you would even be able to measure 4 units. Please clarify.

One very important lesson we all have learned here is to always double check your doctor and to never assume they know what they are doing. If he gave you ranges or numbers, it's your job to question and check for accuracy.

My dr has me on one of the higher hcg protocols I've seen around here, at 350 units twice a week. 500 twice a week is very high.

The measurement of test c I am taking on a 3cc/ml syringe is 0.50cc/ml twice a week(sorry missed the . on my first post) The HCG on a 1ml insulin syringe is 0.4ml. Hope this is clearer

Yes but estradiol isn't sensitive estrogen. I been told on this board that it reads higher than sensitive. If sensitive is 10 to 20 points lower you would be in an OK range. How do you feel is the question

Unless I'm math challenged, this is still confusing. cc and mL are exactly the same and are interchangeable. If you can translate this to mg/mL it would be more useful here. Most testosterone vials here are labeled, 2000mg/10mL. So 1 mL would be 200mg. Please make it simpler. And unless we know how you dilute your hCG, it's impossible to tell how many iu's you are taking. Please clarify.

Well it is. My test label reads 2000 mg - 200 mg per ml/10 ml per bottle. The poster is only looking at the measurement on the syringe and not the test itself. Normally test Cyp is 200 per mg/ml, but Depo test does have 100 mg/ml bottles. We don't know what his is.

That's absolutely right. No typo at all. And gotta wait for the OP to clear things up.

I've had 100mg/ml, 200mg/ml, and 300mg/ml bottles of test C. So taking .5cc is irrelevant if you don't know the concentration ratios.

That's 200 mg a week. I would refer back to what 2Sox said. That's high on the trt scale. I'm on 100 mg a week pining .25 cc two times per week with HCG at 500 iu once a week. On your post your Doc e mail mentioned .25 cc again Mon and Thurs, which is 100 mg a week. If you're pinning .5 cc twice a week you're doubling your dose. That may be the reason your estradiol is high. I'm surprised your hematocrit isn't any higher. 4 units of measure for HCG I'm not familiar with. It all depends on how many iu's the bottle contains in conjunction with how much bac water you re constitute it with. I would start off by pining .25 cc twice a week and not .5 cc twice a week.
