    2k above TDEE while on cycle ?

    Hello there, my first cycle is just around the corner and after speaking to some people(not from this forum)
    Ive been told by several of them that eating in a HUGE surplus is the only want to make steroids work.

    Now i have my current TDEE which is just under 2500 and i usually eat at 2900-3k.
    but now im being told that i have to eat minimum 4k when on steroids because it increases the response of things like walking/even lifting weights therefor im burning alot more calories.

    Does this make sense and is it true ?

    Depending on carbs protein etc
    Increasing carbs will increase water retention and gear will increase water retention or bloat greatly also depends if you are bulking cutting or recomping.
    My first cycle I ate everything in sight and it yeilded great results however i gained a **** load of water weight in the process and looked like a bloated mother****er..

    Considering im using anavar, i dont even think its possible for me to get god knows how big.
    And ill be doing a bulk but i dont want to blow up and get fat.

    as much lean muscle only as i can get.

    Can't go wrong with experimenting with the calorie intake. Do what you would do natty - getting fat too quick? Lower calories - Not seeing any size gains/weight changes? Increase calories.

    Generally 250 - 300 above TDEE works fine. Maybe with AAS you can get away with 500-600 above TDEE and have little to no fat gain. Need someone with experience here to chime in.

    Honestly thats what the plan was before i came onto the forum, i got some sense kicked into me so to speak and by reading around i realize its probably not the best thing to do.
    (so Goodbye $200 on a bottle of anavar) I only have 50 of them anyways so a 3.5 week cycle wasnt going to benefit me i guess but at the same time i highly doubht it was going to damage me in any shape or form.

    Ok, good to hear. Generally speaking, 250kcal above maintenance have kept my fat gain to a minimum while still adding enough muscle for my taste. Most will say 500kcal above, but I have yet to see anyone not adding fat with that.

    300-500cals over tdee has worked well for me. Maybe start out at 300 and adjust up to 500 and you gain. As was said - do not be afraid to adjust based on results.

    Thanks both of you, i just originally asked because i thought the way the steroids work with all the pumps id be getting from everyday activity s it might make me lose allot more extra calories during the day therefor id have to really bump up my caloric intake.

    Might not benefit you now, but for a kickstart/end of a 2nd or 3rd test cycle it'll be good so hold on to it
