I think I have sterile abscess in my 2 thighs. I posted a thread recently, but decided I'm going to repost since now I have more details and new questions
The problem: I never had anything like that happen in my 5 month experience with pinning, but I got this 2 times in a row. One thigh after the other. The left thigh was 9 days ago and the right one 6 days ago. The right one was always less severe, but they are similar in size now. That caused me to think it was an infection, but again, no fever, no redness, feeling normal, no pain, no swelling, only the lump.
Symptoms: no fever, redness or anything. A little warm. One week ago, 2-3 days after the shot it felt like I had a small breast implant underneath my quad lol I think it got a little better since then, but ti doesn't seem to go away anytime soon.
Possible causes: pinning the same spot every week (alternating quads 2 with frequency every 3-4 days), poor injection technique (very low angle) - I felt I screwed up something and I felt pain immediately which was unusual. Crystals in the vial - I think I saw air bubbles in the vial some time ago but didn't make anything of it. Now after taking a look I think those are crystals.
So I have a few questions regarding the situation, sorted by priority:
1. My biggest concern is about draining the abscess. If it's gonna get smaller, do I need to drain it? Will it heal by itself? I heard that sterile abscess might lead to sepsis if left untreated so that's what I mainly worry about.
2. I bought a heat pack now and will try to treat it that way. I think infection is ruled out, given it was almost 1.5 weeks since the 1st injection and I didn't experience any symptoms, so I guess any antibiotics wouldn't be needed?
3. Pinning. I feel like I won't be able to pin my quads for some month or so. I think the only choice is to double the dosage, and make the frequency every week and alternate the delts (100mg - 120mg of Cypionate injection). Is that a good move? Glutes I completely rule out. I don't imagine how I could pin them myself, and after seeing nasty infection pictures... yeah, just in case I wouldn't want to be sitting on that
4. Can I cycle and/or do casual running with a sterile abscess in my quads? Or will it make it worse?
Any help appreciated! Thanks guys and thanks for all your replies in the other thread.
