I prefer the treadmill and the recumbant bike. I'm naturally very thin, so I don't have to do cardio very much (even though I have both at home).
Any cardio machine will work, Its just some machines raise your heart rate faster or slower depending on the person. I don't like gliding machines cause in order to get anything accomplished I have to haul ass, and it burns the hell out of my legs! I prefer the treadmill, or the good ole pavement!
I dont like ANY cardio, but when its neccesary, I go with the tread!
I use a punching bag, its fun, great workout, and most importantly doesnt get borring
i hate to run due to major shin splints. I usually use the tred or eliptical ( without the moving handle bars ) But after so often I will switch it up to either one of the bikes

i like the stairmaster cause it gives your calves an extra workout

Treadmill, but in my eyes some of those stairmasters with the moving arm pieces get the best cardio workout. I've never sweated as much as I have on one of those.
...but I use treadmill only because it makes me feel very feminine, and being 6'4" 210 I look like a bloody monkey with my arms going all over the place.
This is probably just a youth thing though.
