if your trying to tone your arms that would work either way , but your gonna notice a decrease in strength in other body parts cause your arms are gonna be exhausted and not have time to recover fully, robbing strength from your bench and back exercies
if your looking for a change go chest-tri, back-bi
just a suggestion bro
I couldn't agree more with devil here. But I don't see anything wrong with working your arms on different days, just give yourself a days rest before jumping on your bench and you will be fine I think.
You may want to do your arms on a weekend when you have a day or two before your bench.
For example,
Monday: chest/back
Tuesday: rest
Wednesday: Arms/legs
Thursday: rest
Friday: start over.
and so on and so on.

BRO BE CAREFUL OF OVERTRAINING. I LIKE DOING THE PUSH PULL EFFECT. THE REASON WHY IT ALLOWS U TO HIT SMALLER MUSCLE GROUPS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY. THIS WILL HELP WITH RECOVERY, SIZE, & STRENGH. I DO THIS AS MY MAIN WORKOUT
DAY1- CHEST/BICEPS
DAY2- QUADS, CALVES
DAY3- BACK, TRAPS, TRICEPS
DAY4- DELTS, HAMS
I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS 6-8WK CYCLES & I HAVE SEEN GREAT STRENGTH & SIZE GAINS.
This is a strange split, but I do Bis and Hams on one day and Quads and Tris on another. It allows me to concentrate on each without tirng them with working out another muscle.
I do 4 exercises for bi's and 4 for tri's.
First 2 bi's, then 2 tri's, 2 bi's and end 2 tri's.
I like it this was so I still have energy to finish my day at the gym
Never forget that the bis and tris are a small muscle so overtraining is very easy to do...
ive been on the same workout sch. for about 2 months, and i feel pretty comfortable with it.....just in a couple of weeks i am goin to change the exercises around, it goes alittle sumptin like this:
Day 1: Chest, Abs
Day 2: Back, Bi's
Day 3: Shoulder's, Abs
Day 4: Legs, Abs
Day 5: Rest
Day 6: (Day 1)
Day 7: (Day 2)
I feel real comfortable with this schedule, i had to take off the gym for 8 months, because of a accident i got into, so i started back up Jan. 1st and i already have about 90% of my strength left, and have gotten great gains since the come back.....im goin to change the schedule when i hit a plateau, probably in about 2-3 months...
Dave..
