3 minute rest intervals vs 1 to 2 minutes

I am pretty sure I am not the only one who reads bodybuilding magazines on here and they say you get better results with 1 to 2 minutes and you won't really gain any mass with 3 minute rest intervals. Can anyone tell me if this is true because I can usally train harder with 3 minute intervals.

I like training with 3 minute intervals because I can lift heavier and get alot stonger quick as opposed to one minute intervals. And I would like to incoperate them both in my workout.

I think they both have benefits. If you're trying to get stronger, take some time between sets. It allows the muscles to rest and get rid of their lactic acid so you can come back stronger for the next set, lift more reps, and cause more hypertrophy. I like this method a lot better.
I'd really like to see the opinions of some of the experts, since this is such a hotly debated topic!

Agreed. I always take 3 minutes between sets. Been doing it since I started lifting and created a thick base off it. If it aint broke, don't fix it right?
