23. TRT. Androgel and combinations?

I'm 23, just been put on TRT. Doc prescribed me Androgel because he said it is better at achieving constant test levels whereas with the injections there is a high and a low point. What are yalls thoughts on this?

I was curious if running a designer steroid (such as Spawn, Alpha one ect.) would have any negative reactions with the androgel. If so, I will just wait until I do another cycle of AAS. Thanks for any help you can give.

IMO ... AndroGel sucks! If your doc says that's the way to go, and he says that injections are bad because they have peaks & valleys, then he's just another one of "those" Androhell loving docs that is leading his patients astray. The reason he's seeing peaks & valleys is because he would give shots every 2 to 3 weeks. Amazing that he's got a doctorate degree, but doesn't know what half life is.

Take it your steroid cycles are what put you on HRT. Don't know why you would stack those other drugs with any of it. Keep an eye on your BW.

hey vet man thanx for the reply. Actually i have had symptoms of low test for years. I have only done one AAS cycle,just test enenthate. I had hormone tests done before and after the cycle and they were both low. So i have def been suffering from primary hypogonadism for a while. My Lh is very high but free test is way low.

Yeah he said the injections were every 2 or 3 weeks so thats why we went with the gel =/ He wants to see me back in 3 months for bloodwork so thats why i am holding off on my test E/Deca cycle that i had planned because i want to give the androgel a chance to see if that can get my T levels in check, However I thought that in the meantime I could maybe run a non methyl Prohormone along with the androgel.

oh and designer steroids reffering to some of the new thigns out that didnt have to convert to a target hormone, they are just active as they are _superdrol for example)

Do you know what your FSH value is?

He's throwing out 2 or 3 weeks because he doesn't have it nailed down. That's why these guys fall back on Gel. IMO, he should be getting you back in 6 weeks to run follow up BW.

I personally think the Gel gets unstable after a period of time. It happened to me and it's happened to several other people on this board. Can't just be a coincidence. I wouldn't mix in a PH or anything else at this stage, you might end up feeling like garbage and causing issues with your body.

Feel free to try the gel, but do some reading here and other places to get all the pros/cons of all of your options. Most docs who script test cyp IM give a heavy dose with 2-4 week intervals between shots. That's a sure fire way to ensure a roller coaster ride for the patient. Most people find that a smaller, more frequent dose is optimal and easy to self-administer at home. With an injection you know you're getting all of the test. With gel, your absorption rate varies from day to day depending on the circumstances.

yeah he said that the injections were only like 200mg every 2 or 3 weeks so i went with the gel for a more stable value day to day.

damnit it is so tempting to run a Prohormone lol. My next bloodwork apointment isnt for 3 months from now, so im prettyy sure everything would have timwe to get out of my system, but since i am just starting TRT maybe I should wait until after my next apointment decisions, decisions.

Aso i wasnt plannin on running anything harsh, just Furazadrol solo. non toxic, not methylated, does not aromatize. i dont know how long it takes for this to be out of ym system tho.

How long does it usually take for the androgel to get someone's T values up int he normal range? I've been feeling a difference lately, I feel stronger, more energy for my workouts, is it normal to happen so quickly or is it just placebo effect?

Also, from those who used the gel, should I be rubbing it in until its almost dry? or should i smear it on and just let it air dry?

BTW if you don't use HCG with the AAS you risk causing severe damage to the family jewels. Something to consider if you want kids later.

Would this be "permanent" damage, or would the testes temporarily shut down until HCG treatment began?

Durak, he mentioned he had primary. Sound like the damage is already there if indeed it is primary. LH levels are reported high, but I'm curious what that number is.

Do you have to take it for the rest of your life, cos thats what the guy said.. if so, that would suck cuzz.. but im just wondering, i don't think u were too young, i think u may have done something wrong ukno what im sayin? what did u do wrong bro?

18 is just too young, most of the time, body hormone is still unstable, causing side effects to be visible. If you're still 18, better have a physician take a close look at you, if not, better wait a few years time and stick with natural.
