Has anyone tried the drinking a gallon of milk a day thing? I tried it for the first month of my cycle and got great results.. partly because of other things too of course.

never heard of it. sounds highly unpromising
I never heard of anything like this, but I already do drink a better part of a gallon a day just because I fvcking love milk.
I drink a gallon of milk every day. Have been since i started lifting.
That's a TON of sugar, I wouldn't do it.
I drink one glass in the morning (1%) mixed with my protein shake and Oats...that's it for Milk for the day.
dam! I would be afraid I'd get the sh1ts!!!
Just wouldnt do it becasue of the high amounts of sugar. yeah milk has lots of protein but that can be taken in from other sources
Does the milk work on Chest day too? I like 1% Chocolate milk at times, but there is just too much sugar in milk for me to drink that quantity, depends on your goals of course.
1 8 oz glass of 2% milk=

I drink Whole Milk like a beast when bulking - Works wonders for me.
Mark Ripptoe suggests is as well for his starting strength program.
I use milk for my protein shakes but that's about it.
Depends on your goals. Can't say milk is good or bad. Just depends. For example when bulking I might use it in my protein shakes to get extra calories. When cutting I try to avoid it except for my morning coffee or unless I am out of cottage cheese so I use it before bed in a shake.
GOMAD ...gallon of milk a day...look up mark rippetoe, author of starting strength...
edit...nm...leroy beat me
This is a tried and true formula for bulking for most strength athletes (powerlifters/strongmen/oly lifters). Rippetoe also suggested if for young athletes to put on weight. I have my sons doing it (14 and 16). My 14 yr old is a hard gainer at 5'10 155lbs, my 16 yr old was the same way before I started him on this. He started at the same measurements at 14 and now at 16, he's 6'2 215lbs, highly recruited safety/linebacker. But it definitely works if you want the weight minus the cuts.
milk is still relatively low on the GI
we are talking about the 'Milk and Squatt's' program here also known as the '20 Rep Squatt's' program.
The reason 1 gallon of milk is added to a diet is to simply add over 2000 cals to a basic diet.
This is one way to ensure that you will grow / gain weight
