    knee supports/wraps

can anyone point me in the direction of quality knee wraps?

with squats/hacksquats getting heavier, i want to prevent injury before it happens....

my trainer said grizzly makes good wraps, but i havnt found anything local at all that i thought was decent.

some douche at a sports store was trying to sell me flimsy tensor bandage crap..... ugh.

    thanks guys!

    DO you have knee problems?

I know alot of people who move big weight raw....

    350kg squat no wraps...

Im looking online i see alot of wraps like you said bandage and also sleeves... Yet to find proper heavy duty wraps like i have seen on powerlifters.

EDIT : Dontknow if this is what you want http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MARINE-CORPS-...item43a06a2af3

i have a small popping noise in my right knee, even when not lifting.

so i'd like to PREVENT an injury before it happens.

i mostly just wanna support squats. everything else thus far is fine.

Inzer makes a quality knee sleeve and great knee wraps. Their sleeves are more like adjustable wraps than sleeves though.

Rehband (old style) makes the best knee sleeve and Tommy Kono's are great quality neoprene. I haven't tried the Rehbands (too expensive), but I swear by my Inzer sleeves for all moderate weights (up to 600lb squats), Yoke runs (up to 950lbs) and front squats for reps, I rely on my Inzer wraps for all super heavy squats at lower reps (above 600lbs and 3-5 reps). I use my Tommy Kono's for just about everything else and I have really bad knees (13 knee surgeries in my lifetime).

amcon is offline physical pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside... The pain of quiting will lasts forever!!

bro - sounds like you have an injury now... go lighter for 6 weeks let your tendons and stuff catch up, if there is any light swelling let that go away too... wraps will help and prob slow any injuy down...

but, you shouldnt b having any clicking or pain at all if you do your prob needing some rest...

    are you on any sups?

    i've always had that click/pop

even when i layed off for a bit to see if it goes away.

there's no pain or swelling, just a small "CLICK!" when i bend my knee...it'll do it once, then not again for a few hours.....

im gonna look up those wraps you guys suggested, even if they are pricey, i dont mind it if the quality is great.

    thanks guys!

I use knee straps for heavy squats or leg press..My knees hurt when I go super heavy so I wrap up to prevent injury... I use these.. Nice and tight!http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:4...Ukp7cC3rTKGRtg

I'm not sure that the clicking is necessarily a problem...My hip always pops on squats regardless of weight used. Using wraps when less than 90% of 1RM could cause problems with building joint strength. With taht being said, it is nice to keep them around in case you need them.
