Going off of hormones once a year was a piss poor old school concept that passes around occasionally. It makes no sense. Very few uros used it to do it, even fewer now
For instance, if my wife's endo said we're taking you off of your 225mcg of Synthroid for 8 weeks and see how you react. Um, no....bullshit flag is getting raised.
If there was a logical medical reason for it, then yes. Once a patient is established on hormones, you don't screw around with them and then put them back through the rollercoaster to hit the therapeutic level. It's just plain hogwash barring an actual medical necessity
