I believe you, I did westside barbell last fall, and I also did similar last track season. Right now im doing 4x5 for my heavy day and 4x10 for my light conditioning day. I am hitting new pr's too. I have got 405x10 already, and 455x5, so what I am doing is working too. All good though...at least we are all getting stronger, only using different methods.
