interesting, however like any other article regarding training, nutrition, drugs, whatever, these are only theories and they are not applicable to the majority, let alone is there any hard data, (research, journal publications) supporting this theory? or just some doctor talking out of his ass about some theory he brewed up? i mean how do you explain the hundreds of thousands of people who dont follow this theory, or better yet who have never heard of it, therefore dont follow these concepts (however interesting and theoretically plasuable they are) yet they make great success and dont plateau just by eating a great diet, sleeping right, and using time warned principles of body building (drop sets, super sets, pyramiding, shocking the muscles, steroids, etc...), its a great article and its intesting, but its nothing new...someone will always have some theory regarding training or nutrition that makes sense in theory...bottom line is, FIND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU...

imo, this article does not need scientific evedence and journal publications. it is based on logic. i am not saying that i 100% agree with what he said about peak adaption happening on the 2nd week and no adaption post 2nd week. but i think it is safe to say that it is well accepted that your body can only adapt and grow for x amount of time, and nothing you do will help you progress unless you back off for x amount of time.

you gotta hand it to dante the man behind dc. he pretty much has program on the money. Surprize surprize he uses a form of strategic deconditioning similar to the man who wrote this article
