    I have never taken one out of a laptop but I would think it would be similar to taking it out of a tower. I would think first you would need to open up the laptop case, then the dvd drive should be connected to the motherboard by a SCSI or IDE cable (or some other similar cable). Should pop right out. There may be some screws inside the case mounting the drive that might also need to be removed.

    Man, that wasn't what I was talking about. My advice to you is to take some PE classes that women also like to take, especially if you are in good shape. Then you will see what I mean by the "social" aspect of school. Some good ones (at least at my school) are tennis, swimming or any kind of dance classes.
