You get them from your skin stretching too quickly. Its a good sign, but they are frustrating appearance wise I agree. I have seen that maderma + palmer cocoa butter stretch mark formula do well in fading them. I have also her something called "Stixaderm" from Vitamin World works great, however extremely expensive.
Vitamin E cream and cocoa-butter as well is what I've herd. I know pregnant women use cocoa butter - should be pure and all natural I think - but they may start using it prior to getting them so I don't know if it would make them go away, maybe start using it as a preventative measure..
Iv got loads of stretch marks on my shoulders, lats, chest and biceps. Iv found using cocoa butter before a workout has really reduced the level of susceptability to more stretch marks because I havnt gotten many new ones since I started using it over the last year or so. As far as making them fade or get smaller goes, however, no creams have helped that at all. They will fade by themselves of course, but it will take alot of years unfortunately.
i got loads n loads of stretchmarks on the pecs near the armpits, traps, scapula, armpits from the backside, bicep, tricep, stomach, back and lower back, inner thighs, forearms. i think that was all
u can prevent it as the bros said above but i dont think u can get them to go away, maybe there is some laser ramoval thingy that im not aware of.
i dont see them as stretchmarks but as battle wounds, i wear them with pride.

I used that and extra vitamin E capsules on my cycle I gained 40lbs and did not get a single stretchmark.
Thats what I have, good stuff.Originally Posted by TinTin78
do u put the cocoa butter only on stretchmarks or all over the body ??
I only put mine on stretch marks. I think I am going to start putting them on vulnerable areas when I bulk from now on. Shoulders..chest...along the bicep...around the armpit. I couldn't care less about the ones around my groin though.
Ya.. cocoa butter is a preventative method.. but c'mon guys, youcan't tell me you don't urn to have silky soft touchable skin.. .. it's ok, you can admit it... girls will like it too.. not on your hands though...
I've been using mederma and palmer's stretch mark lotion (both from wal mart) as per chest's advice... seems to have been helping, but you have to stay on top of it everyday....
I was 2 seconds away from saying thats exactly what I do until I kept readingOriginally Posted by Superballer
Thats the thing..you gotta do it everyday and just work it into the routine
I rub all over the susceptable areas. For example, if Im training back, I rub all over my lats, biceps, forearms, and even a bit on my delts and chest. Basically, any muscle that will get a pump during the workout. However, Im very very prone to geting stretch marks, so I need to use alot.Originally Posted by farrebarre
stretch marks are permanent im afraid. the redness will fade, but they will always be visible no matter what you put on them. best thing to do is moisterise, apply baby oil and other things to prone areas. prevention is the best cure
So your telling me they are permanent????
I am screwed my inner thigh has some long stetch marks (thats what I get for doing squats), I bought cocoa butter and vitamin E but in actuality there is nothing I can do?
Damn!!!!!!!!
GP
i got them on my lower back, ive never seen anyone else with those around here.
i got them on my lower back too, and under my arms... tanning helps a lil other then that ... no idea
Use the Cocoa Butter cream or in the stick, not the lotion. The lotion is like a watered down version.
yes mate they arent going anywhere. like i said in time they will fade alittle, andwith a tan they will be even less visible. keep treating the areas with moisterisers etc, plus any other prone areas, and they shouldnt get any worse. plus, it never hurts to have soft skin![]()
i have stretch marks under my arms, on my chest, on my shoulders, triceps and afew on my upper back i believe, but mine are hardly noticable nower days. i always use creams on my skin, and especially on those areas, and they havent got any worse since i started doing that. i got my first training-related stretch mark when i was 15, and in 6 years they still arent that bad
