    training for strength

    i want my bench strength to go up alot higher then it is...and its working because i try to do the ammount of weight that makes me only capable of 4-5 reps

    but i hear to build muscles i need to be using weight to where i can do 6-8...is this true?



    well i am gaining muscle the way im doing it tho...but i just want to know if those are true

    for the most part you gain muscle mass in the 6-8rep range.... 90secs-2min rest

    stregth in the 1-4 reps...4-5min rest

    but everybody is different.. and all depends on your history in the gym. alot of factors... but after you are in the gym a while, that is going to be the pattern of muscle growth and strength

    thats bizzare...i would gain strength but not mass??
