    Question Leg BURNS when walking

Ok so after my workouts i usually perform 25-30 mins of light cardio on the tredmil. At about 10 mins into it, my left shin and calf start to tighten up and burn like im doing calf raises or something. Its weird because its only in my left leg. I walk at 4.0 mph. Im thinking maybe its the shoes im wearing? Any suggestions? Its pissing me off.

is it a burn or is your calf getting pumped like you just did a set of raises. If it's getting a pump you more than likely have a biomechanical imbalance somewhere. either your foot is pronating or supinating too much, causing your calf to work to hard. Basically your calf is doing a raise every step you take in a sense. If it continues I would recommend seeing a podiatrist (foot doctor) he'll take care of it right away. I had the same problem except in both calves, I couldn't even walk 100 feet without my calves pumping so much I had to sit down.

have you thought maybe it was shin splint(sp)? eat 2-3 bananas a day and see if it subsides and good luck man!
