and I use straps for heavy sets and do both overhand.
You ever try to reverse grip with straps. I've tried but it just didn't work, not sure if theres a trick to it. When I get heavy the bar starts slipping and I need the straps but hate doing both overhand grips.and I use straps for heavy sets and do both overhand.

Shoulder width or slightly wider and I do an over/under grip that I rotate in between 4 sets. (one hand over and one under)

I do this when im warming up and with lesser weights but my heavy worksets I switch to over/over and use the straps.
chalk makes a big difference. I can almost not use staps with it. without im screwed. oh well not a PL.

A tip from the fitshow series with milos sarcev is to do low rack pulls with a extra wide grip for hitting the lats. he says to mimic doing a standin "relaxed" pose to the front while deadlifting,
