What is everyones thoughts on stretching before or after workouts?

I stretch 5 to 10 seconds on each muscle I work after each superset throughout my entire workout.

If you interested in developmental stretching then 30 seconds with each hold is good after a workout.

As its not a good idea to stretch a cold muscle for obvious reasons I would say no to before a workout .

Personally I like the DC starching when your nice and worm……

right on. I suffer with alot of niggling little injuries that are very likely caused by bad flexibility. In 10 years of weight training I had stretched for likely 4 months regularly in total. I now stretch after trainingh,. and often before bed, after afew warm up exercises on the intended area

Pre-workout - I warm up the muscles I am using (really really light weight) and stretch in-between sets. (I don't like stretching cold muscles)
Post workout - I always stretch

good warm up pre workout... 5-10 min cardio and light weight warm ups for the muscles to be worked on... don't forget rotators! i advice ONLY ballistic stretching during the workout and isometric stretching post workout... you can avoid injuries this way... my 2 cents

what about stretching sore muscles like days after a workout?

My chest always gets pretty sore like 48 hours after a good workout. When I stretch it out i can hear little "snapping - popping" sounds like something is comming undone..... I was wondering if that good to do?
