I am a guy and am trying to find a workout plan for a friend. She needs to lose weight and build strength. I know how come up with different types of workouts that i use. But women are different and i need help finding a womans workout.

Women aren't different in that way. The "woman workout" is a sad injustice inflicted on females. A standard beginner workout is just what she needs. I have women squat, deadlift, bench, row and all that stuff. Heavy too. Just give her something like that and clean up her diet, she'll be dropping dress sizes and lifting some serious weight in no time.
