Thanks for all the great advice. As far as legs go, I won't be working them out any time soon. I got jumped a few weeks back by five big dudes. From what I hear I put two of’em in the hospital but they did some damage too. They somehow managed to tear my meniscus in my right knee. Dr. says he wants to do surgery but is leaving it up to me... I dunno how I feel about it... I’m walking fine (almost without a limp except on the real cold days it stiffens up a bit) My main deal is trying not to twist it weird. As long as I can avoid that, I'm relatively pain free. Without getting into too many specifics, what do you guys think? Surgery or not? What's your gut instinct on it? Mine’s telling me not to. Just let it heal. I think if I’m honest with myself though I should go get it done. He said if I’m athletic in anyway and want to continue to be, I need to have it done… just dreading it…

Depending on the tear it will most likely require surgery. If you ever want to moved laterally again with any quickness or lift heavy it could have impact on that as well.See another Doc one that has rep for rehab not cutting people. If he says the same thing you know its a must.Good luck

most likely, u will just need to get it scoped, which isn't such a big deal these days. if u try to just get by with the torn cartilage my guess is you'll end up dealing with it in the future. i've had my knee scoped twice... you'll be walking in about a week and probably back to 100% in 8 weeks. just my .02. good luck
