Increase your exemptions. Why give the government an interest free loan? I have my exemptions set so I never get a tax return. I have more money in my pay roll monthly to put into savings or invest.

In theory that is 100% correct however I tried that once and I did not save anything(i did not put the extra money in savings) and I owed when taxes were due So if your immature like me thats not the way to go.
