    Cardio questions..........

    I know that cardio at a high HR than your fat burning rate will also burn muscle...I am 196 5'7 right now..prob 14-16%bf(let it go a little during the winter)...my question is how detremental would it be if i were to clock 3-5 miles a day?...i would like to by june be around 175-180 sub 10%...i know with fat lose you will lose muscle....but i do enjoy running...when i was in high school i was a sub 157 guy for the half mile sub 420 for the mile...what is every1s take on my idea?...5days a week 3-5 a day???any advice would help guys thanks be safe

    ill break it down like this. i too love to run!! however, if you are trying to trim up by running then you might want to start incorporating "sprints" into your day to day workout routine. P.S. a mile worth of sprints is way more effective than a mile of jogging. SPRINT WORK WINS EVERYTIME!!!

    I don't think it would be too bad if anything I plan to be doing the same as you, right now I'm building up to 3-5miles a day. I was told that if you keep your diet in check and Lift normally (as if you were bulking or putting on strength gaines) you would retain most of your muscle while cutting.

    With your background in running I dont think that would be detrimental at all. I used to run marathons, and my average training schedule was about 60 miles per week. So for me to crank out 5 miles a day I dont burn that much muscle because my body is more efficient at running and using fat for energy. I would stick with
