Well when he was on regular radio, he often mentioned how Oprah Winfrey aired a show about "Tossing The Salad" and it was defined in its entirety but her show was never fined.

satellite radio should be out of their control...it's subscribed and paid for, that makes NO sense, i believe the same about the internet, u can kiss my ass because i'm typing what i want to see, and making my own judgements. TV i can see the need for a tighter rope, but i feel like the parents should have more of a say with just some help from the FCC... The fcc should set a guideline saying look- this list of channels has agreed to be family friendly, and we're giong to fine them if they don't become that....which isn't a bad thing- look at all the families that are gonna buy that channel, i don't see any negative consequence for a channel to sign up to be family friendly....but then the FCC should say but now these channels they have agreed to not show pornography and blah blah blah,..- thats ur own judgement call...and if that channel shows porn...then fine their ass.....have a note for each station that plays saying something like; "Family Friendly" "Not Graded By FCC", "Vulgar Language" "Pornography/Vulgar Language"...then let the consumer make the decision, and if the stations don't go by the guidelines they've registered themselves for they should be fined
Which is howards greatest argument. He says fine, you want to censor me than you have to do the same for cable TV, books, newspapers etc etc
I can't see this happening but its just nuts to see them even trying to do it. All because someone upstairs hates howard that much.
IF THE HATE THE GUY THAT MUCH DONT @#$%@ING LISTEN TO HIM

It's more than the words; it's the context in which it is said--Howard says those type of things in "dirty" or demeaning way.
Regarding my statement of judging suitability for public airwaves based upon what's suitable for a 12 year old, I wouldn't let my 12 year old listen to Stern, so I don't want something that I wouldn't let him/her hear easily available. Parents can't can't lock-down their child.
