The root of the problem is bad US foriegn policy and Imperialism. Do you disagree? Are you one who believes they attack us because we are free and prosperous and they hate our way of life?
Bullshit, then they would blame us for turning our backs on them. The root problem is a religion that still thinks it is in the 6th century. We are infidels, which has nothing to do with any "occupation".

Thats pure speculation, assuming that if we were to withdrawl they would blame us for turning our backs on them. Right now, here in the present, they attack us because we are occupying their territory, and we have been for much longer than the 9/11 attacks, and even prior to the 1993 attack on WTC. It's interesting that they are not carrying out these terrorist attacks in all 190 countries around the world. However they do carry out terrorist attacks in the United States and England. Perhaps it is because those two countries have troops on in the ground in their country. And perhaps it is because even dating back to the 50's we have meddled in their affairs and destabilized countries, and installed military dictators(Iran in 54, I believe).

I agree that their religion is somewhat twisted. It doesn't change the fact that without our poor foreign policy, Al-Qaeda and the other organizations would be hard pressed to find a great number of people who have the hatred and determination to come to our country and spend years so that they can carry our a suicide attack. Our current foreign policy further aggrivates the situation and galvanizes the people AGAINST us. They have said over and over they do not want democracy, they want an Islamic ruled government. Why not let those people govern themselves the way they wish to? I dont live in the Middle East, I dont care if they think they're in the 6th century, more power to them, so long as they dont come over here.

Cause and effect goes both ways. We will not pull our troops from overseas, ever. Your college professors are certainly having their way with you it seems.

Logan, I read this forum often and I must say I normally respect your comments but have to say that if you really believe this, it makes me wonder about the validity of your previous posts. I would counter this arguement but I see that you are suspended. But wow man.
