I'm a bit surprised that the liberals seem to be on the attack and the conservatives are defending clemens. Obviously it's all bullshit... our govt needs to find something better to do with their time and our money!

It wouldn't be a Government issue if the MLB didn't ask them to get involved or if all the owners didn't ask for millions of dollars a year from the Government. The day the taxpayers stop paying for the stadiums of all the teams in their cities will be a day towards stopping the government in looking into situations like this. Until then, they have all the right and duty to do so.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I just seem to think, call me crazy, that with all the problems that face our country and the world for that matter that pro athletes taking steriods should be at the bottom of the priority list or actually not be on the list at all. I mean come on athletes taking steriods what a surprise... it's shocking! lol. Everybody is going to lie, nobody's going to give and ultimatley everone's time and money will be wasted. If you feel that it's money well spent then please I beg of you never run for office!!!

I agree that there are more important issues out there but that doesn't mean that congress should ignore a smaller issue that their duty requires them to take care of. It's like saying cops shouldn't pull people over for traffic violations when there are murders that aren't solved. It's all hearsay, different people have different jobs they're entitled to.

What would me being on a internet forum have anything to do with congressional hearings with Roger Clemens and his trainer? All I'm saying is that congress if following their judicial duties so to argue that is pointless. I may not agree with their intentions completely but they're doing what they're elected into office to do, unfortunately. Cop? Nope.

Clemens is doing the right thing, Deny Deny Deny, even though while listening to him and the facts it is quite obvious he did use HGH. He needs to learn to speak and project his innocence better!!! McNamee is being labeled, and called to his face by congress right now as a drug dealer. Some stated there is no difference between him and a drug dealer on the street selling rec. drugs, which I find to be a really bad comparison. Both him and Andy Pettite are rats IMO...My father always taught me growing up the worst and lowest thing to be in life is a rat. Take a few years for purjury and be in a federal prison which in some cases is like a country club, but don't rat a friend out.. Congressman love this attention, and if it was not baseball it would be something else!!!! Football will be next in a few years, and the media will eat it up and we will be right back to the steroid scandal!!!
