I can certianly agree with that statement. Diplomacy should always be number one and foremost however we should be concerned what other coutries are doing and I would say we as the main superpower have a moral obligation to help the less fortunate countries out. Invasion should be a last resort and in Iraq it wasn't.

That is the biggest ****ing lie ever told to the American people. It is nothing more than a scape goat for our shitty ass foreign policy.

Morals are a completely subjective thing, depending on culture, region, and a number of other factors. We have no business legislating morals, or enforcing morals. Morals are a personal/individual matter.

It is no different to assume that all 190 countries of the world should preferr to live under Democracy, than it was for the Christians to assume that everyone would preferr to be a Christian during the Crusades. Same exact platform, just different ideologies being shoved down peoples throats with force and coercion.

I personally believe Democracy is a great and far superior system, and I'm glad that we have come far enough in our cultural and intellectual evolution to realise it and chose it as our system of government. But I am certainly not so arrogant as to assume that everyone wants to live under this form of government, and I certainly do not believe we are OBLIGATED to spread Democracy by force and bloodshed.

I agree with you 100% percent exactly my thinking... I think most people believe other forms of government to be inherently evil because of the propaganda we spread... its not logical that We or one side of the argument is Holy, correct or in anyway right, to assume that is arrogance in its purest form...

I must be arrogant. People are starving to death in Cuba slowly because they are not given even the minimal nutritional requirements. Clearly dictatorship has been very bad for Cuba...

I might also want to add that every human on the planet wants to live their life free. Ask anyone, which would you rather have, someone stucturing how exactly your going to live from cradle to grave or be allowed to make up your mind which path you want to follow.

If you believe freedom is the correct way then it must be correct for all human beings or you really dont believe in it.

well put and of course thats not arrogant. Whats arrogant is people constantly complaining how evil the USA is and sticking up for these dictators. I wonder if they know what those dictators do to people that complain about them or what Iran would do with a nuclear bomb, why people risk their lives fleeing Cuba or just how great life was in Iraq before the US came and ruined it for them.
