    Water weight. Its impossible to gain 8lbs of muscle in 1 and 1/2 weeks. Drinking water will help to keep water weight down as it will flush out your system, staying away from sodium willl also do the same thing.

    this is an excellent point that most inexperienced gear users dont understand. the more water you drink the less water you will hold. basically when you flush you system so to speak the sodium follows the water therfore the more water you drink the more sodium follows and there is less chance of water retention as the sodium follows. that on top of sodium restriction will do wonders for water retention.

    Mostly water...

    I would not be concerned with "weight" gain at all. You'll get fat quickly relying on the scale. Look in the mirror and try to gauge progress by strength and bodyfat levels
