subq is easier than im. i recommend about 2 inches from the navel and depending on how much adipose tissue you have in the abdominal area you can either go at a 45 degree angle ( if you are a lower bf) or at a 90 degree angle (if you are higher) the insulin pin is very small i think 29 gauge and usually a half inch long. no aspirating either with subq. but if you are practicing for im shots then keep up what u are doing.
