The test e injection will reach peak plasma levels within 24hrs of the injection. The term "kick in" can be confusing. Either way what lego said is correct, your levels are going up then back down and then up and your body is fooled and it starts converting the test into estrogen to keep things leveled. First thing you need to do is be consistent, either stop taking the gear or take it once a week at a minimum. Second, yes start the Nolva now and take it ED. The nolva will block most of the estrogen from binding to your receptors in your breast tissue(mammory gland).

Thanks, I understand but what I don't get is why it is spiking and dropping when the gel is being administered every day? On the gel alone my t levels have tested in the 900 to 1200's. Should I stop the gel and go 250mg weekly for 9 weeks instead?

The gel is giving you a baseline but the addition of the bi-weekly injections is causing a spike after the injection which will last for about 5-6days and start dropping back to the baseline then repeated when you take the next injection. Your body likes to have a steady level of hormones and will do many different things to achieve that level(homostasis as someone mentioned)
