I don't know, but it's definitely a severe temporary asthma attack of some sort... But it's weird!!! My worst shots are in the left quad also!!! Outside of the quad half way between the hip and knee.

When i do quads, which is very seldom, I go one hand length from the knee on the upper/outside part of my quad. Seems like you are up a little high..but im also 6'2, not sure of your height

im 6'3 and i get the cough from my quads also. i go mid thigh. ill try and go a bit lower to the knee. thanks bro
