I take both. I love the nizoral. I don't get any sides using it mon, wed, fri. Now finasteride on the other hand, is different. The last 5 months I have been taking 1.25 mgs a day. It killed my libido after 3 months. Watery semen etc starts shortly after taking it. It gave my muscles a softer appreance, and a little gyno too. I lost strength too. The good news is this dose has kept my skin clear. I have started taking 0.5mg a day and I like it much better. Less sides. I wish I would of started this long ago. Clinically, there is not much difference in blood DHT and scalp DHT levels between 0.5 - 1.25mg.

I would try both.
